Junior Counselor Information: Applications Closed
Our campers come to work hard, play hard, and have a memorable experience. We want you to be a part of this! Junior counselors will be one of a band of leaders assisting a crew of nine campers ranging in ages five to ten. Camp is from 9 am-1 pm on July 27th-31st this year. Junior Counselors will assist other staff members in leading campers as they participate in exciting daily activities such as fort-building, engineering new inventions, creating art projects, playing sports, enjoying old-fashioned games, learning about nature, and developing vital skills such as teamwork, resilience, and communication. Staff and campers alike will build their problem-solving skills and learn the importance of good character throughout the week of camp!
Ages (*10) 11-12
Responsibilities Include:
Attendance at a mandatory staff meeting the Sunday before camp starts. (July 26th) You’ll meet your team, receive a tour of the property, and help prep for camper arrival the next morning.
During the week of camp, arrive no later than 8:30am. You can leave by 1:40pm each day.
When you sign up you are agreeing that, to the best of your knowledge, you will be able to cheerfully endure the summer heat, rain, and humidity that may be present. We don’t expect this to be easy for anyone but you will have a group of campers depending on you and your attitude!
You understand that if you are selected to be a Camp Firefly Junior Counselor for the 2026 session of July 27th-31st we are gratefully counting on you!
*If you are 10 years old and attended Camp Firefly last year, you have the opportunity to be a Junior Counselor this year. HOWEVER, if you are 10 years old and did not attend Camp Firefly last year, you will have to register as a camper.
Please note that signing up to be a Junior Counselor does not confirm you will be selected. Check the email you provide when registering for an email informing you of your camp position.
